Polished fossil stromatolite. Pseudogymnosolenid type. DOG167 magneprase Weighs 335 gramsDOG167 Fossil stromatolite slab, polished on one side. An as yet unidentified stromatolite, form of Pseudogymnosolenid type. The stromatolite occurs as small digitate columns which are finely laminated. It probably grew in shallow water conditions with intermittent subaerial exposure. From an unassigned unit of the Wyloo Group. Age is approx. 1. 8 billion years. From south west of Newman Western Australia. Approx. 145 mm x 60 mm x 8. 5 mm thick.
