In place of an LCD it uses a robust polycarbonate surface coating, and the signature appears in real time on the operator's computer monitor rather than on the pad. The active signing area is 91 x 45 mm at 4096 x 4096 points (2214 x 1130 ppi) with 1024 pressure levels, sampled at 500 Hz externally across four axes and 6000 Hz internally. The pad
