This warm-vintage Barolo opens with a ripe and soft bouquet that brings out some nice cherry notes with creamy black fruit at the back

Here the reticent nose is at once ripe yet cool with a lovely layered quality to the mix of violet

grapefruit and some florality

Such tremendous concentration on the finish, but without being too forceful and headbanging. Delightful to drink now, but could age for decades, on previous form. (RH)
